When to take a blood sample?
SYNLAB takes blood samples for different sorts of analysis. Outside COVID serology testing, patients need to provide SYNLAB with a valid Medical prescription for any blood collection.
For samples taken between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., as well as on Sundays and public holidays, an extra emergency fee of CHF 50.00 will be charged in accordance with the Federal Analysis List (FOPH).
Do I have to pay myself?
For Swiss patients with a valid medical prescription and Swiss health insurance number, both test and sampling are paid by the Health Insurance. For all foreign patients, the analysis will have to be paid on site.
